This is where the sunsets explode in brilliant colour of Orange and Red against the mountains of the Vredefort Dome, which is a world heritage site.

We are situated in the Free State just outside Parys, nestled in the Vredefort Dome bordering 8km of Vaal River frontage. Therefore we own some of the most beautiful and breathtaking sites and sunsets!

We have the pleasure to share 2500 acres with 25 different mammal species. These include Buffalo, Giraffe, Sable, Zebra, Kudu and many more… The list is endless. So you can come and join us for a scenic game drive.

The 8km of Vaal frontage that was mentioned is ideal for paddling on the Vaal River, bird watching over 300 species and fishing of course. Bass, Carp or Yellow Line Fish could be the catch of the day. We also have hiking and biking trails all along the river for relaxing strolls or extreme sports!

And if you want to combine all these exciting activities you can book our venue for team building, conferences or leadership camps. 2500 acres that you can convert in your own obstacles and adventure playground.

Last but not definitely not the least… Savannah Game & River Retreat Wedding Venue is our pride and joy!!! St Helena is our open air river chapel that is build on the banks of the Vaal River… the perfect spot to say your “I Do’s” while you gaze into your loved ones eyes as the river flows meters away from you.

It is a stunningly, beautiful site that will make your special day feel like it came out of a fairy tale.
