Visionary and founder, Herman J van der Merwe identified the need for engineered energy and potable water systems in Africa. Modular designs that can function in remote locations using only what Nature offers. Olive Tree Systems (OTS) was founded in 2004 to provide these solutions.

Expanding on the knowledge gained through research programs, OTS has established a presence throughout South Africa. Using video conferencing, real-time meeting and project management software, we can intimately collaborate between our offices in South Africa, England and China. These systems allow our clients to interactively experience the birth and growth of their projects.
