Orange you ask. Well We Will gladly explain why.
An Orange consists of many segments encased
in a thick skin that keeps it all together and
protect it from harm. Now in 1994 Nelson
Mandela called us The Rainbow Nation and had
a dream that we will be the country that is
united. 2017 we are not Even close to be united,
Why? Politics and our past possibly. Being united
is a choice not a political or social thing , no it
starts with you making a choice and deciding
that you want to be like an Orange. United and
although many segments of different sizes it still
makes an Orange. In Our case a rainbow one.
Why? because that's why. Fort Beaufort is an
Orange Country this is what keeps this town
Alive, hence the use of an Orange. Now how are
we going to be become the various sections?.
Easy Find common ground and work together on
it, Art in all forms. Sport brought people together
regardless of race. Art has the same power....... Now we met a this very energetic and extremely talented young man Called Sonwabile Gingqishe in Dec 2016. We were bowled over his passion and determination- an artist in his own right, yet he had a dream of developing the youth in particularly in the form of art. Art is what he breathes and sleep (Incidently so do all of us) it ignited a flame in all of us and this is what we started talking about how many talented people in our little Orangetown. From Spoken Word to Drama and music. One thing led to another and soon we had more passionate people on board sharing the same Vision and Dream......... The talent we harbour in our town is astounding we have heatd but a few and was amazed. Most people are too dhy to showcase their talent as most parents, schools and the community do not see art as a form of a career. That is a very selfish notion as many artists are very successful in South Africa and abroad. People just need the opportunity to be heard, we want to be the ears to listen, develop, and also empower them to achieve their dreams. We woyld like to give them the support they need guide them in their talent by doing eorkshops and training with them to sgarpen tgeir abilities and become whom they were born to be........ We have Anele Gqolohle (aka S'tsotsela Ihlanya LaseBhofolo) A Pansula and hip hop artist, a confident and extremely talented artist with so many accomplishments and presented the Eastern Cape where he came 2nd nationally with his dancing Wizardly. We Have Lebo Mothlamola a journalist and a photographer working aroun
