McKinlay Reid students are global citizens: adventurous, confident, creative and compassionate. Students are encouraged to extend themselves through investigation and self-directed learning, whilst working at their own pace and meeting pre-set objectives.

McKinlay Reid offers an unusual version of blended learning, eLearning (online) and group break away sessions that are supplemented by personal and group mentoring .

Each student sets academic and developmental goals and is closely monitored, supported and encouraged by the mentors. The sports coaches and mentors collaborate regularly in order to plan integrated academic and sports ‘journeys’ for the students. Critical thinking, debate and other 21st century skills are encouraged.
