Das Gästehaus "Knysna Views" ist eines der größten und modernsten Häuser in Knysna, dem Herz der Gardenroute in Südarika. Wie der Hotelname bereits ausdrückt, liegt das Haus 200 m über der Stadt mit einem der spektakulärsten Aussichten in ganz Südafrika. Der Blick schweift auf die Lagune, die Stadt und die Meeresenge, die von den Felserhebungen gebildet wird und die " the Heads" genannt werden und zum indischen Ozean führen. Inhaber Christine und Markus, zwei deutsche Architekten, haben das Haus im Jahre 2014 fertiggestellt. Die hochwertige, und moderne Einrichtung ist mit südafrikanischem Flair versehen.
Südafrikanische Kunst und moderne Technik, Internetanschluss, SAT TV, DVD entsprechen dem aktuellen Standard. Im obersten Stock befinden sich 4 sehr geräumige Zimmer mit Bädern auf deutschem 5-Sterne Niveau, teils mit Badewannen, offenen geräumigen Duschen und mit deutschen Armaturen verfeinert. Alle 4 Zimmer sind in Blickrichtung des indischen Ozeans und der Lagune vollverglast und führen auf eine 25 m lange Terrasse unter freiem Himmel. Wie im Paradies fühlt sich der Gast beim Aufwachen und dem Sonnenuntergang, dem Blick auf die Lagune bei Nacht. Deshalb wird dieser Ortsteil auch "Paradise" genannt. Im hinteren Teil des Hauses befinden sich weitere 2 Zimmer mit ähnlich gehobener Ausstattung. Die 200qm grosse Lounge führt auf eine auf 25m Hausbreite angelegtes Deck, im Raucherraum mit gemütlichen Ledersesseln, lässt sich ein guter Wein mit einer Zigarre genießen. Ein Multimedia Center und ein offener Kamin mit Leseecke, sowie Frühstücksbereich mit Frühstücksküche ist auf diesem Stockwerk eingerichtet. Der Putting Teppich verführt zur morgendlichen Golfübung. Auch die Lounge ist vollverglast mit Schiebetüren zur Terasse.

The guesthouse ”Knysnaviews” The name says it all.

The owners, Christiane and Markus, two German architects have completed the guest house at the beginning of 2014. The house is one hundred meters altitude above the town of Knysna and has one of the most spectacular views in the Garden Route. Elevated to provide a view of the lagoon and the town, to the famous heads and the far Indian Ocean, the house is designed to provide a natural sense of light and space. Southward the Indian Ocean stretches uninterrupted towards the Antarctic some 3,000kms away, providing nature’s purist air conditioning. Westward, the sweep of Brenton 4km sandy beach touches Buffelsbay, but the view draws one on, past Mosselbay, to the lights of Gouritsmond, some 130kms distant. Northward and Westward are the Outeniqua Mountains rising behind Knysna and the Lagoon providing a majestic and distant backdrop, sometimes covered in snow during winter, setting off Knysna evening lights.The house is equipped with modern technology, internet access (Wifi), DSTV, flat screen TV’s, DVD players and many more to offer. On the top floor, there are 4 spacious rooms, all en-suite bathrooms with bath tubs and/or spacious open showers equipped with 5-star German utensils. These 4 rooms have views of the lagoon, the Indian Ocean and the town of Knysna. They each have a 15sqm private terrace with a breathtaking view. There are two more beautiful rooms at the back of the property with en-suite bathrooms. The 200sqm lounge with spectacular views has a roofed balcony. In this area there is also a multi media centre and a fire place with a reading and separate smokers corner. The copious breakfast buffet is served there daily.Christine designed and created a perfect mixture of South African motif combined with modern architecture in the Knysna Views guesthouse. A full glass covered deck in front of the lounge, gives every guest privacy sitting outside, even in the rain. The upper level has separate sun decks with breathtaking views to the lagoon. Free internet and parking is provided. The manager speaks English, French, German, Spanish and Portuguese.
