Kingsgate Cape Town 3.18

Kingsgate Cape Townis an assembly in the denomination called United Apostolic Faith Church which was founded in England in the 1900's when
people from traditional churches were baptized in the Holy Spirit & spoke in tongues. This distressed the traditional church leaders at the time & these
people were excommunicated. In those days the baptism in the Holy Spirit was known as the 'apostolic faith' because those people were experiencing what the early apostles experienced on the day of Pentecost.

Groups of those who had also experienced the 'apostolic faith' felt led to unite under one umbrella. They decided to call it the 'United Apostolic Faith
Church.'(UAFC)

The UAFC leaders felt prompted by God to start mission work in Africa. The founder came to South Africa & ordained the first UAFC pastor here in 1912. Since then the denomination has spread to 17 countries in Africa.

Arthur Vos completed his training at Bethel Bible College in Vereeniging in 1973 & was brought to Cape Town to plant a UAFC congregation in the Peninsula. He started in the Milnerton Girl Guide hall under the name of Milnerton Pentecostal Services & the church grew rapidly. Within the first seven years, seven UAFC congregations were established in the Peninsula.

In 1992 God enabled us to build our present hall in Tableview & we changed the name to Tableview Pentecostal Fellowship. We transitioned to a Cell based church in 1995 & grew rapidly.
