Harmony Haven is a couples retreat. We cater for couples who want to get away from the maddening crowd and spend some quality time together. At the moment we have two air conditioned unit which are designed with privacy in mind. Each unit offers
-a self-contained kitchen
-king size bed
-TV with full DSTV package
-en-suite bathroom with shower, toilet and basin
-beautiful spa bath overlooking a large balcony with spectacular sea views
-Guests are welcome to make use of our entertainment area that overlooks the sea and has a braai area and splash pool.


We are also willing to accommodate business travellers with a singles rate for weekday business trips.


Harmony Haven is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the coastal suburb of Doonside, only 30km from Durban city centre. Within walking distance to the beach and Seadoone Mall. Other shopping centres include Galleria Shopping Centre, Arbour Crossing Value Centre, Toti Mall on Beach Road, Kingsburgh Centre. Cinemas are available at Galleria Shopping Centre Amanzimtoti.


Apart from the many beautiful beaches with plenty of rock pools, local attractions include Vernon Crookes Nature Reserve, Crocworld in Scottburgh, Selbourne and Umkomaas golf courses. Aliwal Shoal, which is rated as one of the foremost dive sites in the world, is a short drive away. One of the greatest attractions of Aliwal Shoal is that divers may safely swim with spotted ragged tooth sharks. It also offers exquisite coral reefs, plentiful sea life and two wrecks, the "Nebo" and the "Produce". Various diving operators in Umkomaas, which is approximately 20km away from Harmony Haven, offer scuba diving excursions. There are plenty of popular fishing spots all along our coastline and the annual sardine migration which takes place in the winter months is always an unforgettable experience.


For those who like to venture a little further, there are many attractions in and around the Durban area. Some examples are Suncoast Casino on Durban's North Beach, Zulu cultural venues at the Valley of Thousand Hills, the Midlands Meander and uShaka Marine World on Durban's Point Waterfront.

Please bear the following in mind when planning a visit:


We have a two night minimum requirement when booking.
We regret, no children or pets are allowed.
Please bring your own beach towels.
A 50% booking deposit is required.
The balance is due 2 days before arrival.
A key deposit fee of R500 is required before arrival. This will be refunded within 7 days provided there are no breakages or damage done to the unit.
Our rates start at R650 per night per unit. The price will vary according to which unit you choose and when you will be staying at Harmony Haven.
* Please let me know if you would like to have flowers and or a bottle of sparkling wine waiting in your room when you arrive. The price will vary depending on your requirements.
