Community radio is a crucial part of the South African broadcasting landscape, providing diversity for listeners and much-needed skills for the commercial radio sector. Not to mention the positive spin off for our current economic and social economic standard in the Goldfields, radio can and will improve this.
GoldFM is a registered NPC (Non-Profit Company) and we received our broadcasting service license and a radio frequency spectrum license from ICASA in October 2014. GoldFM will broadcast 70% in Afrikaans and 30% in English with the main content driver be local content
