We are GATE MINISTRIES Durban Central. The church was planted by Randolph and Rene Barnwell in Durban in Sept. 2005. We are a family-centred church where principles of love, integrity, truth and righteousness are foundational to all we do.


We seek to present God’s timeless principles to all people through song (praise and worship), the sound teaching of His Word and the production of books, study material and audio
teachings. Our sincere desire is simply to be facilitators of the restoration of all people to God’s original design for their lives and to fast-track their spiritual development so that they would efficiently and effectively express their unique destiny in the Earth.

Option 1: From Kenneth Kaunda Road – Go passed Moses Mahbida Stadium, Riverside Hotel and the Broadway area. Continue without turning or right until the road becomes Blackburn Road. Turn right into Northview Road (you will an NG church on the corner). The venue is the first gate on your left.

Option 2 : This route is convenient for people coming from Sydenham/Westville/Pinetown/Umgeni/Umhlanga areas. Get to Chris Hani Road (Formerly North Coast Road) - en route to Greenwood Park/Redhill. Turn up Blackburn Road. Near the top of Blackburn Road turn left into Northview Road (you will an NG church on the corner). The venue is first gate on your left.

ABOUT RANDOLPH BARNWELL

Randolph is happily married to Rene since September 1990. He has three sons [Matthew, Liam & Luke] and one daughter [Rae]. He has been serving the Lord since 1982, and has been engaged in active ministry since 1990. He has served in various leadership capacities within the context of local church and the community in which he grew up.

He is a qualified teacher/educator and taught at high school level for seventeen years, before entering full-time ministry as the senior elder of a local church, Eternal Sound Ministries, which he planted in Durban in September 2005. The church was renamed ‘Gate Ministries - Durban Central’ in September 2013.

Randolph fulfills a spiritual fathering function to his own household of faith, as well as providing spiritual oversight to New Wine Ministries in Mutare, Zimbabwe.

Randolph’s primary grace is that of teaching with an apostolic-prophetic emphasis. He is focused on the development of various resources which capture and document eternal, un-altering principles for effective functioning in life to swiftly accomplish personal and corporate divine destiny. To this end he writes study manuals, books, records audio teachings in series format, and produces musical products.
He is also passionate about capturing principles of God’s Word musically. He has written many songs used by many churches.

Randolph and Gate Ministries Durban Central is actively involved in an Apostolic forum based in Durban termed, 'DIALOGUES ON THE APOSTOLIC'

'Dialogues on the Apostolic' - a forum where leaders gather to discuss issues relevant to the present Apostolic season. Rich and inspired discussion takes place, as biblically-based and prophetic perspectives are exchanged in an environment of love and oneness.

Time: 8:30am to 10am
Venue: The River Church, 211 Main Road, Malvern (near the Malvern Centre).
