Our Story :
Family Bakery & Deli was established April 2014 as a new fast growing business in Krugersdorp.
We specifically started to deliver home cooked food and sweet treats, like the once our customers and we as family grew up to know in our parents and grand-parents houses.
Family Bakery & Deli was also a way to bring the family closer together, as we all were working apart from each other long hours but now we as family are working looooong hours together , laughing together, making ‘floppies’ together, but most of all spending time together! ♥
Family Bakery & Deli is not only delivering quality but quantity at the best possible prices.

Family Bakery & Deli deliver a wide range of bakery and deli items to our customers. Most of our food is already packed and frozen ready for our hard working customers to just heat and eat.
Family Bakery & Deli also takes orders for specific items as an additional service to our customers who we love and adore. ♥ Depending on how big the orders are we ask that it is done at least 7 days in advance.
Family Bakery & Deli delivers all orders at no charge in Krugersdorp, Roodepoort and Randfontein, but can courier orders to any other places in South Africa at an additional cost.

What are your store trading hours?
Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 19:00
Saturday: 07:00 - 15:00
Sunday: We are closed but we will help if it is an emergency
Christian Public Holidays: We are closed
Public Holidays: We are closed but we will help if it is an emergency

Do you sell directly to the public?
Yes, we are a retailer who sells directly to the public.

Where can I get a product and price list?

How long can I store products in the freezer?
Products are at their optimum when they are purchased, however if the product is stored correctly it can be stored for up to 3 months.

I have never baked products from frozen before. Will I be able to do it?
Absolutely, anyone who follows the baking instructions will be able to produce excellent baked products.

How do I obtain steam in the oven for baking my crispy products?
Steam is only positive for crispy products. When your oven is up to full temperature throw two or three ice blocks into the bottom of the oven after you have placed your tray of products in it. Quickly close the oven door to keep the steam in.

What does steam do for crispy products?
There is a double action, firstly the steam moistens the skin of the product allowing a longer time before the crust sets. It also has the effect of crisping up the outer crust.

What does 'Heat & Eat' mean?
'Heat & Eat' is a product you simply have to heat.

What does 'FTO' mean?
'FTO' means Freezer to Oven. This is a product you bake from frozen.

Can our products be FTO?
Yes , all frozen products can be oven heated at approximately 150ºC for ±30 minutes depending on your oven.
