Cycle Furniture is a division of Euro Appliances, which was started by a passionate cyclist, Bertus van der Veen, over 20 years ago. Euro Appliances is a company consulting and trading in luxury home appliances. The business has taken him around the world and he has visited a number of international home décor shows and expos.

Bertus has participated in various events including : 94.7, Argus, Cape Epic, Wine 2 Wales, Sani 2C, Berg & Bush, Trans Baviaans, Trans Drak and Attakwas over the past 40 years. As a passionate cyclist he was constantly frustrated with cycling gear scattered all around the house and garage, missing out on early morning coffee rides.

He formed Cycle Furniture to design and manufacture smart home solutions for like-minded cyclists. These solutions are as much of an expression for cyclists as the bikes they ride. Each product is a very careful blend of exquisite design and practical functionality. All products has been carefully thought through, with extensive design inputs from active cyclists.

In the future, as cycling changes and the requirements change, so too will the product offerings evolve.

The team:

Roland Reid: Looking after the day to day operations. Roland was the Marketing Director for Jaguar Land Rover SA for several years until he decided to retire. When approached with the challenge to assist in putting Cycle Furniture on the map, he just could not resist getting involved with this unique challenge.

Estiaan de Lange: Marketing Manager at Euro Appliances, putting all the electronic media in place and keeps it rolling. Estiaan is a keen Triathlete and understands the athletes requirement.

Fanus Schoeman – Master Craftsman, with more than 25 years experience building custom furniture.
