FET Certificate in Social Auxiliary work.

WHAT IS SOCIAL AUXILIARY WORK?

The certificate in Social Auxiliary work is a qualification for people who are unable to get access to the university to do social work degree but want to work with people '' Help people solve their own problems''.
Social Auxiliary workers will work under the supervision of a Social Worker and not as a Social Worker.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR FET CERTIFICATE IN SOCIAL AUXILIARY WORK?

Anyone who has Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification or experience in working with people in the communities will be admitted irrespective of sex,race, age and disability.

DURATION OF COURSE

The duration of the FET for Social Auxiliary work is 1 year of which 70% is practical training and 30% theoretical training.
The course comprise of 13 core modules and 2 electives and fundamentals.
*Should a learner not complete in 1 year they are going to be allowed an extra 6 months to finish the course FREE OF CHARGE if there is a valid reason not to finish the course on time.
