Brettonwood High School was opened in 1966 and was officially founded on 27 January 1967.The School’s enrollment started with 110 boys and grew to 130 in a very short while. The School was headed by Mr C D Harcourt with a staff of 16. The School went through a change of identity, known initially as Central Boys’ High School, then as Glenmore, then Harrietwood and finally Brettonwood High School.

The ethos of the School is captured in its mission statement – “To provide opportunities to realize our dreams through education and training for all, through excellence.”

Brettonwood High School was always the best school to go to. No choices about it! It was the only English speaking, co-ed High school in the Durban area. We were unique.

Please invite all friends who attended Brettonwood High School, even if it was for one year. This will help when it comes to organising reunions. Organizers can then find everyone in ONE group instead of looking all over FB!
