Our Story

Originally a farm owned by the Pennington Family, Pennington is a beautiful picturesque coastal village 75km from Central Durban.

Nestled in one of the most beautiful woodland settings the coast has to offer, our Beach Bungalow has become a real family holiday destination. Owned by the Heath family, Beach Bungalow has become a hub that has managed to bring family and friends together over the years.

We offer a newly revamped, fully equipped holiday beach cottage with the Indian Ocean a mere walk away. With stylish, modern beach décor one can enjoy the ideal self-catering experience while indulging in a touch of luxury. On offer is a television with DSTV, a fully-fitted kitchen and 4 well-furnished double bedrooms. There is also an aircon and bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans for those balmy summer days.

Children can enjoy the freedom as their folks have peace of mind offered by a secured estate. Whether you are the next Novak Djokovic or Serena Williams or just want a friendly game of tennis, or choose to lounge around by the swimming pool, or enjoy sundowners at the club house while the kids relish a game of Marco Polo; the park is your oyster.

Open the stacking doors and step onto the undercover veranda where you can sit around the braai or wooden table while the kids play cricket on the lawn. Relax in a hammock with a good book or take a nap while adoring the vivid bird life.

Escape down to the sea for long, lazy days on the tranquil beach. Snorkel at Kelso or Umdoni Point, or surf along this gorgeous coastline. Bring home a big fish if you’re in the mood for a fish braai or enjoy a cuppa’ and daily homemade meals at the Pennington Beach Kiosk. Pennington is also a golfers’ delight as it boasts not one, but two fantastic 18 hole Golf Courses, a 9 hole Golf Course and an amazing Driving Range with superb putting greens.
