Located conveniently on the Jack Taylor Aerodrome (FAKR), Aviatech offers top quality flight training conducted by carefully selected and highly dedicated and experienced instructors.

Emphasis is placed on producing well rounded pilots equipped with the ability to make sound pre- flight and in-flight decisions whilst operating in the single crew general aviation environment. Excellent airmanship is expected from all crew and candidates at all times whilst an elevated degree of aircraft handling skills is required and obtained due to the conditions at the Jack Taylor Aerodrome.

Our main goal is not just to make someone a pilot but to make sure that he/she have the necessary skills to be a safe pilot and to understand what it takes mentally and physically to be a professional pilot in the end. This is possible due to our skilled instructors and physical location of Jack Taylor aerodrome in Krugersdorp. What makes this location a challenge for even the skilled pilots is the low air density and narrow runway.

Aviatech Flight Academy which is more than 8 years active - a relatively quiet airfield, which means less on the ground, more in the air - have pilots from different backgrounds with excellent experience to overcome that steep learning curve for students wanting to learn fly an aeroplane or to fly at night. Some pilots from the air force with many hours in logbook and then those with many hours and years’ experience in the charter and instructing industry. We also believe to breed our own instructors, so we would be sure they are all on the level that we want them to be.
