Association of Arts Pretoria 4.51

The Association of Arts Pretoria was established in 1947 and is one of the oldest Art Associations in the country. It is a voluntary, non-profit association with a separate legal entity, which is managed by a council and an executive committee.

The gallery has more than 800 members, including well-known artists, art teachers, academics and patrons of the arts. It is run by a Director, a Gallery Manager and two assistants.

Centrally situated in the Austin Roberts Bird Sanctuary in Nieuw Muckleneuk, which is close to the city centre and the University of Pretoria, the Association is extremely active and has a well-established reputation for excellence.

Serving as a platform for both upcoming and established artists, it has become the hub of art in Pretoria and Gauteng, as well as nationally.
