Al-Noor Orphanage 3.9

Al-Noor cares for children who have lost parents or whose parents cannot provide their basic needs due to illness, unemployment, or family disintegration. The Centre supports these children physically, socially and emotionally. Al-Noor has been doing good work with extremely limited resources. Its children are content and well fed and have achieved a 100% pass rate in schools
The Centre has succeeded in implementing successful programmes and workshops. Al-Noor has built good relationships with other community institutions and earned more support from the community. The staff attend regular courses and workshops in Child Care and Youth Care Work. The home has a computer room and library, where the kids are trained and assisted with their school projects. There is a strong believe in bringing out the best in each child.

However, we also have challenges. As an organisation that receives no Government funding/grant, and with numerous responsibilities to meet, much effort and fortitude are required to run it smoothly. We are presently working hard to provide for many orphans and children in need and depend entirely on private donations. Thus, it has essentially become a community project.
