Addo Reach is set in small village with good access from main roads. Crime and malaria free, there are none of the trappings of a hectic life. Instead, you’ll have great views, a chance to watch the stars in bright clear skies, opportunity to meet the local community and plenty of time to read, paint, write and feel at home. Your hosts, long term partners, John Bateson (retired engineer and sports fanatic) and Eli Konstant (loves working in the local community, enjoys meeting new folk and handing out loads of TLC) look forward to your company.

Our home is your home and we do all we can to make sure you feel that way. We offer B&B and self-catering in Hein’s Cottage which sleeps 2 adults comfortably, four at a pinch. Inside the main house, the well appointed rooms have their own access, giving you the freedom to come and go as you please. All rooms have en suite bathrooms. Our rate includes complimentary tea, coffee, hospitality toiletries and full servicing of your room on each day of your stay. Breakfast, light lunch, picnic basket and dinner are available on request. To ensure we can provide everything you need, please let us know your catering needs (including food allergies and preferences) when you book.

We believe it is unique because it is away from the madding crowd, offering insights into the real rural South African way of life, with the benefit of being within reach of places of environmental and historical interest. Peace and quiet, the opportunity to relax and enjoy a respite from what could possibly be a very busy travel schedule. For those more energetic folk… a game of golf perhaps, along with excellent opportunities for mountain biking, hiking and cross-country jogging.

We are here to help you to organise car hire from the airport if necessary, pack a picnic for your visit to Addo, book game drive etc. Right now we don’t have Wi-fi but our internet would be made available if you need it – an evening by the braai and chatting with neighbours and friends brings forth lots of ideas of peaceful and interesting things to do.
