If you are a Mature Traveller looking to escape a wet and cold winter at home, then Vietnam offers you a sanctuary; warm sunny weather, a low cost of living and ample things to do to keep you busy.... that is, only if you wish to be busy.

Of my 3 recommendations, 2 are coastal cities boasting some of Vietnam's best beaches and 1 is a captivating city of 8 million that never sleeps, has a cafe culture to rival Paris and contains sights and food that will tantalise your senses leaving an indelible mark on you for for years to come. If you choose the latter, don't worry if you need to escape the rat race and see the ocean or have acquired a craving for some ultra fresh seafood, you are still only a stone's throw away from fabulous beaches and cheap island getaways.

Asia provides wonderfully diverse travel experiences whether it be scenic, cultural, spiritual, culinary or interpersonal.

Vietnam is a fascinating destination with a turbulent history and a people who are resilient, industrious and very welcoming. There is so much to see here that anything less than a months stay would be a crime.

Immerse yourself in the culture and be ready to be surprised and totally enriched.
