A Social Enterprise is Born!

In 2008, a Social Protection Center was established to support disadvantaged women in Mai Chau and sell products locally. Since then, we have improved the lives of over 200 women.

In 2013, the Hoa Ban＋ social enterprise came to life! Hoa Ban+ now sells products globally and is an expanding and sustainable business. Hoa Ban+ aims to support disadvantaged women to use their skills to earn an income and improve their living conditions, while maintaining and protecting their traditional culture.

“Hoa Ban” means Ban flower, a special beautiful flower that blooms in the cold of winter and keeps flowering until early summer in Vietnam. Through vitality and beauty, the Ban flower symbolizes the great energy of ethnic minority people and the nature of the Vietnam’s Northwest region, and in the same way, so does our brand name “Hoa Ban+”. The “+” is added to impress our values that are contained in our products.

Hoa Ban+ currently employs almost 40 disadvantaged women who have disabilities and live in poverty. Our goal is to support at least ten additional women each year.
