I. Origin of ENGLISH SPACE (ES)
ES originated from a “mobile corner” created by the American Center (AC), which was then transferred to the University of Languages and International Studies as a gift representing the collaboration between ULIS and the American Center. ES is a community for English studies and activities sponsored by the American Center and open to every students of VNU.
II. ES Activities
- Open to all VNU students from Monday to Friday during office hours.
- Organize monthly talkshows hosted by US Embassy's speaker.
- Organize specialized activities namely movie showing and other culture related events...
III. Missions
1. Construct "English Space" to become an open and familiar location to all students of VNU with the aim of practicing communication English or researching English materials.
2. Become an information sharing center about cultural events, volunteer opportunities / projects, abroad internship programs, etc. related to English language.
3. Record data storage resources (student visits, events, book titles, etc.) to be used for finding sponsorship from the embassy / cultural center of English-speaking countries, expanding the size as well as improving the quality of English Space.
4. Create a community self-managed by students, an environment for developing dynamism, creativity, independence and necessary skills.
