After 11 years of actively running dive centers throughout Vietnam and with the birth of Grant’s second daughter in September 2011 Grant decided to take a year off from teaching scuba diving training to spend time with his family. During 2012 Grant received so many inquiries and words of encouragement to continue with his high levels of instruction that he felt the only way forward was to promote himself as an independent Instructor Trainer who would operate throughout the South East Asia area.

Grant is recognized as Vietnam’s premier Course Director and certainly the most active over the last 10 years, responsible for over 70% of the country’s Instructor level or higher certifications and is regarded as a PADI Course Director with excellent abilities in transferring information to all types of candidates in all circumstances. Add to this his high level of professionalism and ethics, the fact that Grant will actually be the one teaching you (because, simply put, he loves to teach!) and you have a winning formula for success.

In early 2016 Grant decided that Da Nang Scuba should be set up to teach all levels of the PADI system from PADI Bubblemaker & Seal Team for young children all the way to PADI Open Water Instructor and beyond. Not only does he do it diligently but Grant focuses on doing it correctly and professionally within the PADI System.
