Yavapai College, which opened in 1969, provides quality higher learning, cultural resources and economic development support for the diverse populations of Yavapai County. The College offers a wide range of academic programs to students at the College’s facilities in Prescott, Clarkdale (the Verde Valley Campus), Prescott Valley, Chino Valley, Sedona and the Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) near the Prescott Airport.

Yavapai College offers 59 certificate programs, 32 degree programs, many of which transfer to four-year colleges and universities. Overall, there are 76 different programs of study available to students.

In addition to traditional curriculum, the college offers many learning options to fit the lifestyles/circumstances of its students. Alternative learning options include: credit for prior learning, internships/service learning, non-credit courses, college for kids, high school partnerships (dual enrollment), Internet courses, open entry/closed exit courses, interactive video courses, on-line courses, senior programs (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute [OLLI], EDventures), and high school equivalency program (G.E.D. testing).
