FACEBOOK EVENT POSTING POLICY
The Yarmouth Police Facebook Page has many functions. One of which is to promote “Events” related to the Police Department, other town agencies, local fundraisers and other community spirited events. In order to be posted on the Yarmouth Police Facebook Event Page the events must meet the following criteria:

• The events must take place in Yarmouth or have a direct connection with the Yarmouth Police Department
• All Events must promote community goodwill
• The Event posting cannot be used to advertise for “for profit” establishments of organizations
• All postings should be careful not to violate Massachusetts Conflict of Interest Law
• Event postings cannot be posted if department members or relatives can obtain personal benefit
• All Facebook “Event Postings” must be approved by the Chief of Police or his designee.
