You want nothing but good for your animal. Your dog has innate intelligence. They instinctually know this, understand this. It’s about providing the animal with very black and white decisions. Yes/No. Treat/Correct. No gray area. He does something good, a treat is given. He does something bad, a correction. Eventually, no treat is needed, just your voice. He will understand what you want.

Ultimately, the animal is conditioned to know her place because you have established yourself as the dominant figure in the relationship. You come first. He comes second. A relationship where you are the leader, in control. He looks for a leader. Wants to listen. Wants to obey. Wants to trust.
