U.S. 19 Dragway located in Albany, Georgia is under new management. Bobby Childs, known in the racing circuit as “The Wild Child” along with his wife Rose, daughter Chelsea, son Junior as well as other family members, have stepped up to the plate to manage the racing facility. U.S. 19 Dragway has been a well known landmark in South Georgia for a number of years. According to Bobby, “We want to continue the tradition and take it to a higher and more competitive level."


Bobby is family oriented and Drag Racing should be a family oriented sport. The racing facility embraces this concept by offering good customer service, a competitive but friendly racing atmosphere, enclosed concession stand with clean restrooms, indoor and outdoor recreational games including go-kart rides for race fans of all ages as well as a basketball goal located behind the concession stand. There is plenty of parking for racing equipment along with extra parking areas for race fans to get a good view of the action on the track.


U.S. 19 Dragway offers a competitive race schedule on weekends throughout the season including special monthly events attracting racers from all over the state and out of state areas.
