Upson-Lee Fine Arts Center 4.29

The Upson-Lee Fine Arts Center, which opened in May of 2013, includes a 900 seat auditorium with a full production stage, fly loft, catwalk, lower level and balcony seating, gallery-style atrium, green lobby, dressing rooms, and storage. This is a state-of-the-art facility and a point of pride for our school system and our community.

The Upson-Lee Fine Arts Center is a busy place, hosting student and community events. The center calendar is filled with student events, such as band and choral concerts, PTO programs, the Constitution Day program, Knight Idol, Talent Knight, and honors programs. Community events include TUAC-sponsored programs and performances, the Armstrong School of Dance recitals, the Distinguished Young Women of Thomaston and Upson Scholarship Event, RUSH Ministries concerts and events, and MORE! During the 2013-14 school year, the center hosted 66 student events and 5 rental events. During the 2014-15 school year, the center hosted over 100 student events and 58 rental events. During the 2015-16 school year, the Upson-Lee Fine Arts Center will host over 100 student events and 66 rental events.

The Upson-Lee Fine Arts Center was made possible by SPLOST pennies for education. The Thomaston-Upson School System is grateful to the voters for their support of fine arts within our school system and our local community. Thank you, Upson County!
