Details

The Upper St. Clair Theater opened in the 1960s along with the original Upper St. Clair High School. Over the years the Theater has been home to many musicals and plays, all performed by USC students. The Theater has also hosted a variety of concerts and events throughout its existence. In 1999, the Theater, as well as Upper St. Clair High School, received an extensive renovation. With this renovation, all the technology within the Theater was updated to State of the Art. Since 1999, many other improvements have taken place, such as the addition of an acoustic shell donated by the Community Foundation. In 2007 a new digital soundboard was added to replace the previous analog console. This soundboard, in addition to our new under-stage fill speakers, contributes to the great acoustic experience of our Theater. On November 22, 2008, the last major addition to the Theater took place: the first public performance of our Steinway D Concert Grand Piano, generously donated by the Community Foundation of Upper St. Clair.

In 2010, we added a second Theater to our family. The Boyce Theater, located at Boyce Middle School, was built as part of the Upper St. Clair School District Middle Schools Renovation Project. About half the size of the Upper St. Clair Theater, the Boyce Theater provides a more personal and intimate setting for events. For more information about hosting your event at either of the Theaters, please feel free to contact us.

Both Theaters, while owned by the Upper St. Clair School District, are managed by ARAMARK Facilities, LLC. This unique agreement allows us to bring in various community events in addition to outstanding School District Performing Arts events which we already host.
