The University of Tampa Entrepreneurship Center in the Sykes College of Business teaches skills that are critical for today’s entrepreneur. Learning to identify opportunities, prepare executable business plans, and hone skills through a combination of classroom study and applied learning, makes our program unique. Students will have the opportunity to engage and learn from the center’s strategic partners such as The Bank of New York Mellon Wealth Management and The H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Research Center through unique programs and competitions. With more than 150 UT students enrolled in the program, entrepreneurship is one of the fastest growing fields of study both on campus and in the United States, with entrepreneurs projected to be the group that creates vigorous and sustained economic development, worldwide.

Student learning is at the core of all activities and programs of the UT Entrepreneurship Center. The focus of the program is twofold:

1. Build a nationally recognized academic program that engages students and the regional business community in mutually beneficial experiences.

2. Conduct research that encourages and supports the efforts of faculty and student researchers to explain entrepreneurial trends and find solutions to problems faced by entrepreneurs whether they are starting a new venture or working in an established organization that is looking to expand and compete.
