Welcome to the University of Louisville Department of Medicine! Established in 1837, the Department today houses nearly 180 faculty and several accredited training programs.

Its faculty and trainees work at four distinct hospitals including the University of Louisville Hospital (which houses a level 1 trauma center), the Robley Rex Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and affiliate systems including the Jewish & St. Mary's Hospital and Norton Hospital, both located on the same Louisville Medical Center campus.
