Details

The Unity Center formerly known as the West Dayton was established in 1978 to assist alcoholics in recovery when the primary addiction was alcohol. In 2014 was renamed to the Unity Center to open to the community and assist anyone with any addiction to get recovery.
The center is currently expanding to better serve the community with kitchen renovations, construction of a pantry, and other building upgrades. Annual events include:
Unity picnic: A community family picnic in August that gives school supplies to the kids and events for the family as a whole through donations from the community.
Hope for Addiction: A musical event that provides hope for addicts everywhere that recovery is possible.
Kids Holiday Event: Receive donations from toys for tots and the community to provide gifts for the homeless and less fortunate families during the holidays.
Community Holiday Dinner for the Homeless: A free dinner provided to the community and the homeless. Food supplies are also given to help the less fortunate and those who are in need.
