The Trimble County Conservation District, a subdivision of State Government, was formed on Feburary 19,1946. A public referendum was held in Trimble County in the fall of 1945 with the majority voting to request the Kentucky Soil and Water Conservation Commision to establish a conservation district that would include the entire county.
The Trimble County Conservation District operates under the provisions of the Kentucky Revised Statutes 262.000. The District Board consists of seven supervisors elected in general elections for four year terms on a staggered basis.
They are: Jonathan G. Turner-Chairman, Debbie N. Jones-Vice-Chair Person, Glenn A. Fisher-Secretary/Treasurer, Thomas D. Webb-Member, Blake Nelson, Jerry Oak and John Edwards.
