The Station is the south's most unique listening room for singer/songwriters seeking an attentive audience. A purposely hidden gem just off the beaten path 25 minutes south of Knoxville in the beautiful foothills of East Tennessee. When you arrive at the four way stop in the old Miser Station community, and first walk into The Station, you may get the feeling you've been transport back in time.

Verlon Thompson, one of the great singer-songwriters of our day, in an interview with The Daily Times said "Places like The Station are what songwriters like myself dream of; the only reason we go to all the effort of writing all these songs is because we hope someone will listen to them closely and really get what we’re saying. That doesn’t always happen, so that makes this a very special and unique place.”

Experiencing music inside The Station's 120 yr old building with raw wood interior resonating is much like climbing into the sound hole of a vintage instrument. There are no bad seats, and every seat is better than a backstage pass at larger venues.

The original building has been restored with reclaimed wood to it's current barn like setting to provide comfortable seating for 60 throughout the year. The Station's 30' wide stage provides the perfect backdrop for the music we love: Americana, singer-songwriters, classic country, Bluegrass and other forms of honest music.

(Please note we have a list of FAQ's listed below at the of this page)

Interested in seeing a show at “The Station?”

To assure a seat we highly recommend you RSVP to TheStationTN@gmail.com where you can also request to be added to our email list. Seating is always limited and we don’t want to deal with the awkwardness of turning people away at the door. Just PLEASE keep your reservations or notify us in advance if your plans change.

Shows typically have a suggested donation or cover, and a few may have ticket links. If you RSVP you'll need to pay cash at the door for the cover which averages $15-$20, and we recommend you bring extra cash for purchasing the artists merch, and for tipping our smoke master if you partake in the slow smoked BBQ.

Music and BBQ is a Tennessee tradition so we start slow smoking pork BBQ early morning day of a show. We don't sell the BBQ, we only suggest that you tip the smoke master if you choose to eat since he'll be puttin' in a long day smokin' and stokin' the fire! Just for reference, most folks tip him $5 or more if they eat a BBQ plate or sandwiches.

Bring your own beverages if you like.
We have restroom facilities, plenty of chairs and parking available. Doors always open 1 hour before show time.

Finally, you should know from the get-go that we are not operating a business here. The Station is merely an extension of our living room where we love to listen to good music. We are more than happy to have you….whether you know us or not….join us for an evening of live-music.

FAQ's
-Should we bring our own chairs? No, we have plenty of seating.
-Is it ok to BYOB or bring in small cooler? Yes feel free to BYOB or drink of choice, and bringing in a small cooler is fine. Just drink responsibly or have a designated driver.
-Should we bring chips, snacks, or side dishes to share? Yea sure it's fine, and appreciated, but not required.
-What's the address? 4206 Miser Station Road, Louisville TN 37777.
-Do you have a restroom? Yes we have a restroom and it's even indoors!
-Can we bring the kids? The Station is a listening room environment, and although some folks bring adult beverages, we're certainly not a bar. In order to respect folks paying to listen to the music, kids must be 12 yrs or older to attend our shows. That said we're reasonable folks, so contact us to discuss an under 12 exception.
