We are local. We live right here. We work in a small town diner, in small town Vermont because we value community and people and VERMONT. We believe we get more than we give by staying here, in Hartland, cooking for our friends and neighbors. And, of course, we love food. Good food. Fresh food. We want you to love fresh, local food cooked from scratch as much as we do. We want you to love OUR food because we are the best. And we're pretty proud of what we're cooking up here. For us the diner is where you go to have an outstanding cup of coffee, a fantastic, cooked to order meal and to see your friends and neighbors. The diner is where you go when you want to eat AND visit. We love a good diner. You will too.

We're not trying to be the fanciest or the most expensive, just THE BEST. The Best Diner Experience. We want you to love coming to The Hartland Diner because of everything: the place, the people, the service AND the food. We are the "entire package."

The Hartland Diner is a small, local diner in Hartland, Vermont. We are all about great food made with fresh ingredients cooked from scratch, to order and the community you find sitting around the breakfast counter in a small town. If we've got the ingredients in the building we can and will make you what you want.

We are a Diner and that means you can have your meal exactly the way you want it, as long as that way includes only real, whole, natural ingredients. You will find no margarine for imitation maple syrup at The Hartland Diner. Ever.

We are as local as it gets and focus most of our menu and daily specials around local ingredients: Maple Meadow Eggs; Thomas Dairy Milk; Cabot Butter, Whipped Cream and Cheddar Cheese; Green Mountain Smokehouse Bacon; Rambling Brook Farm Sausages, Ham and Bacon; Shelburne Farm Maple Breakfast Sausage; Dale Lyman's Dark Amber Maple Syrup; Vermont Coffee Company Tres Mariposas Coffee.

We bake and sell some of the best pie you will ever have - 100% from scratch made from fresh ingredients right in our kitchen. We have something for everyone: many vegetarian and vegan friendly choices; gluten free options; and all the local, cruelty, antibiotic and hormone free pork products you can eat. Burgers ground fresh every day for us by BG's Market next door. Our atmosphere is fun, inviting and full of snark. Great food, fantastic people, GOOD TIMES.
