Take Stock in Children Palm Beach County 3.22

Since its inception in 1995, Take Stock in Children has positively impacted the lives of over 18,000 children statewide throughout 67 counties. Over 7,500 mentors have volunteered with our program and in Palm Beach County alone we have awarded over $8 Million in scholarship funds. TSIC Palm Beach is proud to have graduated over 1,200 children considered ‘high-risk’ of drop-out, and currently has over 300 students enrolled and on track for success.

Clearly addressing the high school drop-out crisis, and college attainment, Take Stock in Children continues to report an unparalleled high school graduation rate of 92% and a college enrollment rate of 81%. Students are identified in middle and high school and must sign a contract pledging to remain drug and crime free, meet with their mentor weekly and maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.3 or greater. Students fulfilling their contractual obligations receive a full tuition scholarship upon high school graduation.
