Welcome to St. Peter Seal of the Martyrs Coptic Orthodox Church in West Palm Beach, Florida

Our church teaching is based on the notion, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.โ€ (Matthew 19-20). The Coptic Orthodox Church survived for almost 2,000 years with its first Diocese in the United States to be that of the Southern in 1993.

The term "Coptic" is derived from the Greek "Aigyptos" meaning "Egyptian". The term "Orthodoxy" here refers to the preservation of the "Original Faith" by the Copts who, throughout the ages, defended the Old Creed against the numerous attacks aimed at it.

HISTORY OF OUR CHURCH:

In May 2010, a group of 82 families joined together to form the West Palm Beach Church. Now, by the grace of God, 82 families turned into 131 families. For 5 years, the families rented different places between Pompano and West Palm Beach to have their liturgies with visiting priests.

Abouna Tadros was ordained January 4th 2010 and stayed in the monastery until March. The current church location was being rented to people and the congregation decided to buy it. Its closing was in April and by the end of May, the church was acquired with its services beginning in June. Bishop Youssef chose the name of the church to be St. Peter Seal of the Martyrs. We are the only church in the world with this unique name and we have his relics in the church. A lot of miracles happened through the intercession of this saint and we are certain he will continue to bless each and every one of us.

We look forward to sharing our happiness and love in Jesus Christ as we are members of one body.
