I am happy to offer both long and short-term pet and home sitting in-your-home. I serve the East Bay and Marin County, California USA (and beyond by arrangement). All care is done by me, Michelle Franck, a long-time pet sitter, animal activist, non-profit animal volunteer, pet foster parent, and ethical Vegan, as well being a life-long animal lover. I maintain official certification in both Pet CPR and Pet First Aid. I also hold a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology.

All types, breeds, ages, and abilities of animals are welcome and will be lovingly cared for. I have experience caring for dogs/puppies, cats/kittens, rabbits, fish, hamsters, guinea pigs, birds, goats, horses, cows, sheep, chickens, and even kimono dragons! I love 'em all!

I am happy to offer several levels of service to best care for your pet(s):

1. Basic overnight care in your home (dinner to breakfast)
2. Mid-day visits (with or without overnight care)
3. Extended care (my not leaving your pet for more than 3 hours at a time within a 24 hour period)
4. 24-hour care (my not leaving your pet for more than an hour - only if necessary - within a 24 hour period)
5. Doggy day care (hour-by-hour in-home pet care)

I specialize in extended and 24-hour care because there is a clear need for certain pets to have more attentive care than the vast majority of pet-sitters are able to offer. Boarding special-needs animals is not always a good solution because it disrupts their normal routine and sense of familiarity in their own home which can lead to physiological and emotional stress and exacerbation of medical problems.

The intensive care options I offer are beneficial for pets such as those with medical problems or mobility issues, those with anxiety or abandonment challenges, and those who are simply used to having their family home with them throughout the day. My goal is to keep your pet(s)' routine as close to the one you provide them with to minimize disruption while you are away. I strive to do everything I can to keep them healthy and happy.

Please call for more information and to inquire about availability of dates and prices customized to your household's particular needs. Advance reservations ensure best availability but last minute sits may be available. Holiday care is also available. No minimum and no maximum days required.

All pets must be non-aggressive to humans (or easy to muzzle) and be up-to-date on vaccinations. All dogs who wish to go to Dog Parks or walk off-leash in public locations must be neutered or spayed.

I offer a fully customized range of services for healthy and special needs pets of all types, breeds, ages, and abilities. The quickest way to receive an estimate for pet-care is to provide me with the following information via phone, text or e-mail:

1. Number, type, breed, and age of each pet in your home
2. Specifics on any medical conditions for each pet
3. Details on any medications that will need to be administered
4. Details on any special needs or assistance they require
5. Details on any behavioral issues
6. The type of care you are looking for (ie, overnight care, mid-day visits, extended care, 24-hour care, doggy day care, etc)
7. The town you live in
8. Any special home care you require (Basic care includes bringing in mail and newspapers, taking out garbage cans, light watering of indoor and outdoor plants, and keeping your home secure and "lived in." )
9. If available, the specific dates for which you will need care
