Hello, my name is Joe Arnold and I am the owner of Small Business Improvement Solutions based out of Spring Hill Kansas. I have over 15 years’ experience working in the IT / Network support field and have held many positions from a PC technician, Network technician, and a network administrator. Within the last three years working as a small business data support technician, I have noticed an ongoing need to help small businesses with internet connection issues which they now rely on more heavily to do business. My company Small Business Improvement Solutions or SBIS will help find connection issues at the small businesses site that are normally caused by physical issues. My company will identify these issues by doing an on-site evaluation, then offering a solution to fix the issues identified which will then be gone over in person with the customer. Another needed service offered is a reference binder. Ask yourself how many times has your network or internet connections have gone down and you know nothing about how to properly troubleshoot the issue, or you do not have an IT person or they are not reachable, or how your internet network is configured so you can give the info to a support technician over the phone? The reference binder my company would create for small businesses would fill that need by individually creating a reference binder that would include but not limited to, a full network diagram of the small business network with tagged labels for easy identification, step by step troubleshooting when there is a connection issue, a technical page telling important technical information used by phone or remote techs for troubleshooting, and then a complete contact list of who to call to get help to resolve the issue. By having this reference book, one - you decrease the chance of any device getting accidently reset which would cause a greater issue, two - allowing a quicker process of troubleshooting connection issues, three - allowing to have technical information on hand to give to support which saves time getting a dispatch if needed, and fourth which is the biggest, decreases downtime which decreases the amount of revenue lost. Figure how much a small business losses because of internet connection issues, then look at the value of the services we offer of decreasing the amount of revenue lost by locating issues, repairing them, increasing internet operation time, and having a reference binder to use in case a support call is needed to your internet provider.
