SLIK SIGNS and Graphics 1.93

In 1955, I picked up a pinstriping brush and found my passion. I striped everything in sight including my moms 1951 Buick convertible. In the army I painted murals in the barracks and when I went to college, I rented a small building from the university in Warrensburg, Missouri and opened my first sign shop. However, I found out that teaching art wouldn't pay as much as the sign business and I walked away. Since then I've been lucky enough to rub elbows with some of the greats in our trade. I've learned from masters and apprentices alike. Finally, I had to embrace technology and buy a computer and vinyl software and have my 5 year old Grandson show me how to turn it on! Now....it's time for facebook and a web page (in the near future). So you can teach an old dog new tricks. Our business is primarily truck lettering and small signs. every now and then I do a pinstriping job on a bike or hot rod and an occasional flame job.
