Slightly Different Nursery - Daylilies & Barn/Farm Weddings 4.41

I hybridize daylilies primarily for the collectors there are, world-wide! With an emphasis on garden performance and unique flowers, they've been quite the hit since starting this venture nearly 20 years ago.

Besides the daylilies, there's a LOT of "slightly different" aspects to the place... namely, the unique setting of the nursery itself! Once a huge horse farm, the location has a 280 degree open view of the Blue Ridge Mountain escarpment... and 6 counties. Though a production nursery, it's set up as a massive "garden"... no ugly structures or systems visible, to totally MAX the beauty of the setting. You simply have to see it, to believe it!!!

I start ~5K new daylily seedlings every year. During the 6-7 year process of maturation, that number narrows to the year's 12-15 new "introductions" onto the collector market. Invariably, there are a few more that make excellent candidates for our "Name a Daylily" program... where an interested person can obtain ALL of that particular new daylily cultivar that exists, and officially name it whatever they like! Because there's enough to supply at least 10 people with it, and it will continue to multiply for each recipient designated, it's something that can stay in a family forever!
