Cathy Morton CPM established Serendipities Birth Services in September 2013 with the purpose of providing the greater Stillwater area with home birth services. These services are open to all low risk women who desire to birth in the comfort of their home. Whether you are a first time mom, someone looking to have a water birth, are a well experienced mother or you have a history of Cesarean sections, home birth is likely to be a good option for you. Care is provided in your home from the first prenatal to the last postpartum.

Cathy believes that women are capable of making sound informed choices and can direct their care if given the right support to do so. She feels that her duty as a midwife is to provide each woman with the knowledge to choose the path that is right for her and be there to provide a clear clinical picture of how her pregnancy is progressing as well as provide competent birth services.

Cathy Morton CPM trained with Faith Morie, CPM, LM from 2010-2013 and was certified as a Certified Professional Midwife through NARM in September 2013. She worked as a birth doula for several years before she began her midwifery training. She has experienced eleven pregnancies and is a mom to seven living children. She has had many different experiences through those births including hospital births, home births, postpartum hemorrhage, postdate large babies, and even a neonatal death. Her desire is to use her experiences and training to serve others who have a desire for low tech home births.

Serendipities is now offering Birth Counseling for expectant women who are also overcoming abuse or birth related trauma. These consults consist of 2-3 two-hour sessions and are personalized to provide you with tools and strategies to put you back in control.
