Sea and Sage Audubon Society 4.08

We welcome our friends involvement on our page. We ask that you limit discussion here to topics related to the Sea and Sage Audubon Chapter, Audubon House and the San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary (SJWS). And as we seek images and videos related to these topics, we encourage you to submit yours to Joaquina Stilt (see Contact Info). We reserve the right to use or not use what you send us but for the ones we do post, you will be credited. Bear in mind, we have no control and have no responsibility regarding how images and videos are used by others once posted on our page. Also, any post directly or indirectly marketing products or services outside Sea and Sage Audubon will be removed.

We welcome you to visit Audubon House, headquarters for the Sea and Sage Audubon Society. We are open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm daily, except major holidays. You'll find a wide selection of birding-related goodies including a fully stocked nature store, a reference library and some gorgeous taxidermy birds. Our friendly and helpful volunteers will assist you with your questions and will even loan you a pair of binoculars or a scope for viewing in the reserve.

And do make sure to spend time in the 300-acre San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary Reserve, a freshwater marsh owned and operated by the Irvine Ranch Water District. Over 282 bird species, including 170 regularly-occurring species and 112 less frequently observed species, have been documented here. If you spot an unusual bird, please document the sighting at the front porch of Audubon House so you'll help us expand our knowledge of the bird status and distribution in the reserve.
