Our core values for Riverbend Church come from Isaiah 35. As a church body we choose to follow God's glorious purpose for the Church and flourish in His vision. Connecting To The Community And Celebrating Christ

Our Vision: Loving - Serving-Going

Responding to God's Worth (Isaiah 35: 1-2)
The wilderness and the dry land shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom like the crocus; it shall blossom abundantly and rejoice with joy and singing. The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the majesty of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the Lord, the majesty of our God.

Riverbend responds to God through worship; understanding that God is the source of joy because of who He is and what He has done through His Word.

We respond to God in worship through prayer, the reading of His Word, and in song. We respond to God through serving our community, each other, and through giving.

Strengthening the Body (Isaiah 35: 3)
Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees.

Through the gifts of the Holy Spirit we are committed to helping the body grow and mature in their faith in Jesus Christ, by serving Him and each other, and ministering to all who are in need to nourish and refresh them in the name of Jesus.

The body is strengthened by employing the gifts bestowed upon us by the Holy Spirit.

Rescue the Fallen (Isaiah 35: 4-5)
Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God.
He will come and save you.”
Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf unstopped

Through Jesus the blind see, the deaf hear, and a culture can be radically changed for Him.

Our mission as ambassadors of Jesus Christ is to rescue the fallen - acknowledging that the Gospel alone rescues, transforms, and give man eternal life.

Restoration and reconciliation come through Jesus Christ and it is our desire to see people rescued from the bonds that hold them back from a true relationship with Jesus.

Caring for Community (Isaiah 35: 3-4, 6)
Strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees.
Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not!
then shall the lame man leap like a deer, and the tongue of the mute sing for joy.

The command of Jesus is simple: love your neighbor (steady the weak, the abandoned, the hurting, the helpless, the poor, and the elderly.)

Riverbend reaches into our community to meet the spiritual needs of those we encounter and then the physical & emotional needs.

Living Christ's Life (Isaiah 35: 8-9)
And a highway shall be there, and it shall be called the Way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it. It shall belong to those who walk on the way; even if they are fools, they shall not go astray.
No lion shall be there, nor shall any ravenous beast come up on it; they shall not be found there, but the redeemed shall walk there.

We believe in Jesus Christ as Savior of the world, and at salvation a person is in-dwelt with the Holy Spirit and allows Christ to live through them.

We rest in the knowledge of what was accomplished in His death upon the cross at Calvary.

As we walk with Him our minds conform to His, and we rest in His grace knowing that in His crucifixion we also were crucified and in His resurrection we are also raised to life.
