RM MARKET + MERCANTILE was founded in 2012 in a historic building in downtown Thomaston, Georgia -- a leap of faith for two southern girls who became close friends while working at a local bank together. They both imagined their lives a bit differently than having to get up every morning to put on "biznass slacks." After 5 years of curating, retailing, and restoring in what used to be the town's old hardware store (all to the tunes of Elvis, Fontella Bass, Aretha Franklin, and all other 60s greats like them), they've decided it's time to bring it online.
