What we are doing and why:

Our aim is to create a space for young people to exist; to express themselves; to find and build community; to be empowered through art, music and the free exchange of ideas.

We are developing two additional spaces in the building to help us meet our needs. The first will be Thunder Dome, a consignment sneaker boutique exclusively catering to independent artists and brands. The second will be an enclosure for a future coffee shop that we will focus on once we have gotten the first few months under our belt. These spaces will utilize our large storefront windows and bring people through our doors during the hours the venue would normally be closed.

Who We Are:

At the helm of this project is a formidable cast of characters. Brian Skiffington, Phil Peterson are developing the venue while Tom Long & Alexander W Schelhammer pour their energy into their consignment boutique.

Brian Skiffington is a longtime show promoter around the Puget Sound booking shows under the banner of s.e.s. presents. He is a co-organizer of Rain Fest, a 3-day long music festival. He serves on the board of directors for the Tacoma Historical Society.

Phil Peterson has been actively engaged with all-ages venues and spent a number of years bringing out of town bands through the Pacific Northwest.

Tom Long recently moved back to Tacoma after spending many years in Brooklyn, NY where he developed his clothing brand, Electric Sex Clothing and collaborated on a streetwear boutique.

Alexander W. Schelhammer is an MC in The Breaklites, a much-loved Tacoma hip-hop crew. He has developed his own clothing brand Poly Rev and he has been working tirelessly hitting the street fair and festival circuit.
