PATC is responsible for maintaining 240 miles of the Appalachian Trail. But we also:

- rent and manage cabins
- sell maps, guidebooks, and other literature
- maintain shelters along the trail
- put together a monthly newsletter
- host events, workshops, and activities for members such as trail work trips and hikes
