Pocomoke City Emergency Medical Services 3.86

The Pocomoke City Department of Emergency Medical Services is a municipal department within the government structure of the City of Pocomoke located in Worcester County Maryland. The department provides primary emergency medical response to the City of Pocomoke and the surrounding unincorporated areas of southern Worcester and southern Somerset counties. Response is facilitated by duty crews with a minimum staffing of one ALS and one BLS provider 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Additional staffing is provided by local paid per call EMS providers, part time personnel, and volunteers. The department currently operates three advanced life support ambulances and two utility vehicles for use by the Director of Emergency Medical Services and duty crew staff. All apparatus are equipped to the standards set forth by the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems.
