I WANT TO TELL YOU A STORY…

Not just any story, not a fairytale or some fiction. But a true story, and a very special one. This story is about the very people that you love and hold dear.

THE ONLY THING DIFFERENT ABOUT THIS STORY, IS THE WAY THAT IT IS TOLD..

You see, I am not a writer. I don’t tell stories with words (tried it, stunk at it!). So I tell them with my photos.. And through the eye of my camera, I want to tell your story. The story of when your baby girl turns 4, or the one about your sons graduation day. The time of your sister’s wedding or of your husband’s homecoming from the war… Even the day that brings a new life into the world! Sometimes you feel that you don’t have any of these exciting life events worth telling about, I understand. But can I tell you that you still have a very special story? Your beautiful story is being well disguised as “every day life”. It is the story of you and your family. Perhaps it is cutting up potatoes for supper, or maybe it’s tying the toddler’s shoe. Perhaps the hug good-bye as the young driver heads to school. It may not seem so important right now, but believe me, these are the moments that are sweet! And the days that memories are built on.

THESE ARE THE STORIES I WANT TO TELL YOU. BECAUSE IT IS IN THESE MOMENTS
THAT REAL STORIES, OF REAL PEOPLE, ARE TOLD.

I have learned, that the photos taken in the day to day life (exciting or not!), when the kids are just being their messy selves, when emotion is raw and unfiltered, these are the photos that are cherished! It’s not usually the one’s taken in a studio, shot against blank walls and bright lights and fake backdrops.

SO THE QUESTION I HAVE FOR YOU IS THIS….
