Oklahoma/Vandergrift #2 Fire-EMS 3.45

In January 2008, in order to provide a higher quality level of public safety, and to ensure reliable medical protection to the communities of Northern Westmoreland and Southern Armstrong Counties, the membership of Oklahoma VFD/EMS, and Vandergrift VFD #2/EMS merged along with C&S Ambulance Service. This merger created Emergency Medical Management Company, or EMMC. The combination of the three services provides a modern fleet of 10 Advanced Life Support Ambulances which respond from 4 stations, and answer in excess of 10,000 requests for emergency service on an annual basis. These requests are processed from 9 municipalities, which span approximately 125 square miles. Non-Emergency services are also available upon request.
