BG Tim McAteer arrived to 3ID as the DCG-M in November 2015. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University and holds advanced degrees from US Army Command and Staff College and Louisiana State University.

BG McAteer attended Infantry Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, United States Army Command and General Staff College, School of Advanced Military Studies, and Senior Service College Fellowship at Yale University.
